I own a Nikon D40 and wanted a telephoto lens. i dont make more than $ 300 for a high quality lens, so that when I feel it is below 50 U.S. dollars I bought it immediately. it doesn't have the VR stabalizer as some of the pricier lenses, no autofocus, but it isn't very difficult to make a lens on your own. and you can teach yourself to protect your hands steady, if pictures. so all in all 50 U.S. Dollar for a 210mm lens was worth it in my opinion.
